# Own Restricted List

The **Own Restricted List (ORL)** allows users to create and maintain multiple **internal lists** for enhanced monitoring and compliance purposes.

* These lists can function as an **internal blacklist** (e.g., known fraudulent individuals/entities) or a **VIP watchlist** for special monitoring within a domain.
* Restricted List content is **private** to your domain and is **not shared** with other Cynopsis clients.
* Entries can be **activated** or **deactivated**:
  * **Active entries** are screened by Artemis.
  * **Inactive entries** remain in the list but will **not be flagged** during screenings.

This provides flexibility for organizations to maintain internal watchlists tailored to their business needs, while complementing external screening providers.

* **[Post Name into Restricted List](./post-name-into-restricted-list)**\

## Notes

* Always use **Get All Restricted Lists** first to identify the target `orl_id`.
* Restricted Lists are domain-specific; changes will only apply to your domain.
* Keeping names **inactive** allows temporary suspension without losing historical data.
